Helena Community Credit Union (HCCU) was established in 1936 as a federal employees credit union and became a state-chartered credit union in January 2002. Our current field of membership is as follows:
Persons living in; working in; attending school in; worship in; businesses and other legal entities, in Lewis and Clark, Broadwater, Jefferson, Powell, Cascade, Gallatin, Silver Bow and Deer Lodge counties in Montana; members of the Montana National Guard, full and part time; full time military; active Guard Reserve; members of the Armed Forces Reserve stationed in Montana; employees of the Department of Military Affairs; Title 32 employees of the Montana Army National Guard; employees of this credit union, and members of the immediate families of natural persons who are members of this credit union, spouses of persons who die while in the field of membership of this credit union. Immediate family is defined as mother, father, (paternal, step or adoptive); grandfather, grandmother (paternal, step or adoptive), sibling (paternal, step or adoptive); children of the member (paternal, step or adoptive), and other extensions or definitions of the traditional family as future law or regulation may prescribe.

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
